Spend the day being introduced to the art of bag making. Construction, lining, straps, zips and hardware are all covered as you make our versatile Eva shoulder bag. (The pattern and full instructions for this bag can also be purchased in our patterns & projects section)
Sessions run from 10.30am to 3.30pm . Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need. This class is suitable for all sewing abilities, we are happy to advise on fabric choices to suit your skill level.
You will need to bring:
Please bring at least half a meter of upholstery weight fabric/canvas/lightweight leather, 20cm contrast fabric, half a meter of cotton fabric for lining your bag, half a meter of lightweight wadding or interfacing, 2 meters of cotton webbing for handle (or extra fabric to create handle) and matching zip and thread.
What's included:
Full bag pattern and instructions as well as expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Hardware for your bag (press studs, bag clips, D-rings and sliders). Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
